The National Penny Farthing Championships will be held in Evandale. We invite riders of all experience levels to join us for this iconic event — one that’s as much about the camaraderie, colour, and celebration as it is about the racing itself. It’s a weekend to reconnect with old friends, meet new ones, and be part of something truly special in the heart of Evandale.

Fees for this year are as follows (plus a small booking fee): adults $50. Juniors 13-16 $20. Sub-junior 0-12 $10.

Please note rider registrations close Friday the 5th February 2027 at midnight. Riders are encourage to enter as many or as few races as desired.

Steps to Register

To ensure a smooth and complete registration process, riders must complete the following steps:

 

1. Complete the Rider Registration Form

  2. Nominate which races you intend to enter (you can choose as many or as few as you like)
  3. Nominate your bike transportation method
    1. Penny Farthing Dan's vehicle/trailer (VIC)
    2. Alan Sumner transport (NSW)
    3. Freight/Courier options
    4. Combination
    5. Other
  4. Apply for a transportation subsidy (optional)
    1. Riders in need of financial support for transport can opt-in for this application
    2. Subsidies are limited and assessed by the committee after the event
  5. Sign the rider waiver

2. Purchase Your Rider Ticket

3. (Optional) Purchase a Trailer/Van Transport Ticket

Dan requires bikes to be with him by the 15th of February 2026

  1. Riders wishing to secure a spot on Penny Farthing Dan’s trailer/vehicle can purchase a transport ticket during registration

4. Receive Confirmation

  1. You will receive an email confirming your registration, waiver acceptance, and any transport selections made

Please note that transportation of bicycles by Dan/Alan is a generous personal gesture offered by them. Anyone seeking to transport their bike with Penny Farthing Dan / Alan Sumner will need to kindly contact them directly to arrange this. There will be limited availability of space for bikes. Penny Farthing Dan transport must be payed for when purchasing a rider ticket further down this page.
We value providing hospitality throughout our event. With this in mind, the 2026 event is reinstating a system of partly subsidising the cost of transporting bikes to Evandale. The service is only for those IN NEED of financial assistance. Financial support is offered according to financial need and subject to limited available support.

Applications for rider subsidies will be reviewed by the event committee in the month following the event. Once subsidy amounts are allocated, successful applications will be contacted for reimbursement information.
