Volunteer at the 2026 National Penny Farthing Championships
The National Penny Farthing Championships simply couldn’t roll ahead without the incredible support of our volunteers. Every year, a dedicated team of locals, enthusiasts, and visitors help bring this iconic event to life, and with 2026 shaping up to be our best year yet, we need your help more than ever!
Whether you can spare a couple of hours or a full day, every contribution makes a huge difference. Volunteers can select from a range of roles and two-hour time blocks across the event weekend, it’s a fun and rewarding way to be part of the action, meet great people, and keep this long-running Tasmanian tradition spinning strong.
Volunteer Roles
- Front Gate & Welcome Crew – greet visitors, check tickets, sell tickets, and set the tone for a great day.
- Raffle & Fundraising Stall Team – help raise funds and engage the crowd with prizes and smiles.
- Merchandise Team - help with making merchandise sales during the event
- Green Team (Sustainability & Waste Volunteers) – keep our event clean and eco-friendly by guiding recycling and waste.
- Pre-Event Setup Crew – help get everything ready before the crowds arrive.
- Post-Event Packdown Crew – assist with wrapping up smoothly once the racing’s done.
- Race Support & Course Marshals – ensure the races run safely and smoothly along the course.
- Spectator Services Crew – assist with directions, seating, and general public enquiries.
- Entertainment & Vendor Liaison Team – support performers, stallholders, and the event crew on the day.
- Traffic & Parking Team – keep things moving safely and efficiently around the event site.
